Beyond

The Gates of Time

Suddenly, at one point as they walked along, Helios and Gabriel felt a tremendous burst of energy fill the space around them. Its source seemed to be just behind them, so they both turned quickly and saw three other spirits some distance away on the far side of the hall.

Gabriel also observed that an activity horizon had appeared at the gate nearest the other three spirits. He already understood what Helios would soon learn. The burst of energy had come from a gate that was being shifted to a new point of time and space.

Turning to Helios he said with a smile, “We will see the setting of a gate! Come quickly!” As they approached, the other three spirits all smiled, but said nothing. They turned their attention back to the gate.

Helios now saw a much larger, more open view into the other realm from the hallway. Areas to either side of the pillars now extended the view to three times the size of the gates’ normal opening. The height remained the same, and he could still see the pillars, which symmetrically divided this view into thirds.

However, it now felt as though the hall in which he stood was a great platform within the reality before him. All seemed open to some very real space-time moment within the vastness of God’s wide universe.
