New powers flooded through his spirit, yet he stood impossibly still in a soft light with the cool colors of twilight surrounding him.

Utter peace, love, and joy, along with every other possible positive emotion he had ever experienced, were fulfilled in him in all ways. He felt at one with the light he had just been drawn to, at one with this new place, at one with the Creator who had faithfully led him through many great adventures to this special place in the Mind of God that is beyond all known adventure.

Yet this place was so full of a new kind of adventure that it required Helios to alter his understanding of the very definition of adventure. He had stepped out in Faith time and time again, trusting his Creator to lead him onward in fulfillment of his purpose.

All he had known as that purpose now lay behind him. This was a seriously new adventure.

In those final moments, when Helios could have veered off course and possibly prolonged the existence of his star, he had been tempted to waver, but he held fast to his faith and steered straight on the path God had placed before him.

Helios did not have the full understanding of what lay ahead or why the divine path he had always followed would lead him and his craft to this seeming end. Yet he had chosen to trust God, who never failed to provide all that Helios needed.

Now he drank in the fullness of his reward.
