He saw before him two enormous, magical-looking pillars and beheld between them a scene, which showed what he instinctively understood to be the last moments of his star, as viewed from afar in deep space. A final brilliant explosion of his craft sent out a shockwave, and Helios realized it was at that exact moment that he had felt himself carried to a new horizon. He now watched in wonder at the transformation of deep space that lay before him between the great pillars. God had allowed Helios to be a participant in a great work of creation, although it required letting go of something, which Helios held most dear. Yet he knew God loved him and that God would lead him onward. Helios had no foreknowledge of that wondrous place in which he now stood or of the utter fulfillment, which now flooded his spirit. Long
he looked with wonder at this marvelous creation, which he had played
a small part in forming. He felt that in all his journeys through
deep space, no combination of stars or collection of multi-colored
gases had ever appeared so beautiful to him. Then he proclaimed true,
heartfelt praise to the Creator, the Eternal Father who had done this
great work and who had graciously brought Helios to this place of
utter fulfillment.
