The Gates of Time

“Was the burst of energy that drew our attention to the three spirits a result of them point-jumping?” asked Helios.

“No,” answered Gabriel. “Although it was obvious that they had indeed come here by means of a point-jump. We would have sensed their presence sooner otherwise.

“The energy burst was released when the pillars were shifted to an extremely different space-time coordinate. This gate went through a series of re-directions, in order to convey important information relative to the mission. But as you recall there was not another burst of energy on the magnitude of the first one. That is because all of the other re-directions were within the same general time-space. As we begin using the gates it will become clear when to expect larger bursts of energy.

“Regarding the gates themselves, the point in time and space that we observe through the main viewing area is actually displayed in the pillars as a three-dimensional geometric form. In time you will learn to read this geometric language, not only when it is stationary, but while it is in motion as well. Both pillars contain the same reality representation, but may look slightly different because you will be viewing this three-dimensional data from two different views relative to each pillar.
